"A man's character is his fate"
Heraclitus of Ephesus

Mr. President Erdogan.

We read the recorded by the press statements from the speech you delivered in a University that bears your name (…). “Our physical boundaries are different from the boundaries of our heart. We should differentiate between them.  We, of course, show respect for physical boundaries; but we cannot draw boundaries to our heart, nor do we allow it”.
We would like to say that we agree with you. Wholeheartedly! The borders of the heart are too important to be ignored. Borders created through the centuries by the work and the lives of our Ancestors. Cultural Lines of Arts, Science, Literature, Achievements inspired by our Gods. Lifelines in the History of the indigenous people. Colourful Lines, usually in the shades of red; the colour of blood. The blood of our ancestors that was shed violently by the sword of people who knew only things like conquest, bloodshed, intrigue, cunning.
People that have nothing left to celebrate today, but the conquest of a City they flooded by rivers of blood and rejoiced in its looting; in a piece of land they were neither born, nor came as friends. Their Feast is a brutal triumph of the sword that attacks and destroys.
In any case, we will not draw boundaries to our hearts, either.  We will preserve the Lands of our Ancestors that still carry the remains of their achievements, and the remaining of their offspring, with the same inspiration deriving from the Glory of our Gods. And we certainly respect the current physical boundaries. In fact, we respect them so much that we plan to further safeguard the ones we have, if necessary, as befits those who love their Fatherland, their Sisters and their Brothers. We believe you can totally understand this feeling of pure Patriotism.
